About the Position:
The Center for Popular Democracy/CPD Action (CPD/CPDA) is seeking a Finance Associate to provide support to a variety of finance systems and operations. The Finance Associate will report to the Director of Finance. This role requires great attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving and complex organization. This position is for eight months with potential for extension.
The Finance Associate will:
Support and administer key systems for financial record keeping
Review payment requests and expense reports to ensure proper coding and documentation
Book bank activity
Assist in organizational financial reporting, year-end audit and tax preparation, and otherwise support the Finance Team as needed
Demonstrated commitment to social, racial, and economic justice
At least one year of experience in a finance role or an accounting department, preferably in a nonprofit environment
Ability to both take direction and independently problem solve when needed
Excellent attention to detail
Comfort using different programs and systems, and a preference for familiarity with Concur, Intacct, Adaptive Insights and/or Salesforce.
