About the Position:

The Center for Popular Democracy/CPD Action (CPD/CPDA) is seeking a Finance Coordinator to provide support to a variety of finance systems and operations. The Finance Coordinator will report to the Director of Finance. This role requires great attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving and complex organization.  

Primary Responsibilities

The Finance Coordinator will:

  • Support and administer key systems for financial record keeping

  • Review payment requests and expense reports to ensure proper coding and documentation

  • Book bank activity

  • Create invoices

  • Assist in organizational financial reporting, year-end audit and tax preparation, and otherwise support the Finance Team as needed

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to social, racial, and economic justice

  • At least two years of experience in a finance role or an accounting department, preferably in a nonprofit environment

  • Ability to both take direction and independently problem solve when needed

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Comfort using different programs and systems, and a preference for familiarity with Concur, Intacct, Adaptive Insights and/or Salesforce.
