Lead Organizer, Economic Justice - Brooklyn, NY

Center for Popular Democracy, Fair Workweek Initiative

Join the next wave in the movement for economic justice in America.

Across the country, low-wage hourly workers struggle with jobs with unpredictable part-time hours, low wages and few benefits that strain their families and cause economic insecurity. The Center for Popular Democracy’s Fair Workweek Initiative (FWI) seeks a Lead Organizer to drive worker-driven corporate accountability campaigns to restore a family-sustaining workweek for the country’s hourly workforce.

More broadly, the Lead Organizer would work with CPD community affiliates and allied partners to organize working people nationally and through local field programs to drive coordinated economic justice campaigns that call for fair and full employment and a just democracy for working families.

About The Center for Popular Democracy

CPD promotes equity, opportunity, and a dynamic democracy in partnership with innovative base-building organizations, organizing networks and alliances, and progressive unions across the country. CPD builds the strength and capacity of democratic organizations to envision and advance a pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial justice agenda. Learn more at: www.populardemocracy.org.
