The Center for Popular Democracy and CPD Action work together to promote equity, opportunity, and a dynamic democracy in partnership with innovative base-building organizations, organizing networks and alliances, and progressive unions across the country. About the Position:
The Center for Popular Democracy/CPD Action (CPD/CPDA) is seeking an Associate to provide support to a variety of internal systems with a focus on human resources and legal compliance. This role requires great attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving and complex organization. This position is for eight months with potential for extension.
The Associate will:
Manage key records and documents for the HR and Legal teams
Track and enter data for HR and legal compliance purposes
Assist in the development and management of organization-wide systems
Otherwise support the internal organizational operations as needed
Demonstrated commitment to social, racial, and economic justice
At least one year of experience, preferably in a nonprofit, social justice environment
Ability to both take direction and independently problem solve when needed
Excellent attention to detail
Comfort using different computer programs and systems
